Deal Review: Partner with Sales and Delivery leadership in structured deal review cycles for consulting/services engagements — assessing scope, staffing feasibility, risk, and margin before signature. Ensure SOWs are reviewed for deliverability and alignment with delivery capacity ahead of close.
Audit Oversight: Own audit readiness and compliance for the PMO function, including engagement documentation, time/expense tracking accuracy, SOW-to-invoice traceability, and adherence to internal controls and revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606). Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit requests related to services delivery.
PMO Tools: Own the PMO templates, tools and build proof of concepts for a new technology stack end-to-end for optimized project delivery. Expert knowledge in project/portfolio tools like Smartsheet and Jira. Ensure the tooling ecosystem gives accurate, real-time visibility into pipeline, staffing, utilization, and delivery health.
Automation Identify and drive automation opportunities across the services lifecycle — from deal desk through delivery to closeout — reducing manual effort and improving data accuracy. This includes evaluating and deploying AI-powered tools for tasks such as automated status reporting, AI-assisted SOW/estimate drafting, AI-driven staffing/resource matching, and engagement risk detection (e.g., tools built on Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, Copilot, or similar LLM platforms), as well as no-code/low-code workflow automation.
Reporting Develop global business processes, policies, and procedures for the assigned business unit in order to identify and implement best practices, such as forecasting, utilization management, CRM implementation and usage, Salesforce reporting, and executive dashboards (utilization, bookings, backlog, margin, delivery health) for regular business review cadences (WBR/MBR/QBR).
Experience
8–12+ years of experience in PMO, Professional Services/Consulting Operations, or Business Operations, ideally within a high-growth B2B SaaS company with a large Professional Services function.
Demonstrated experience owning deal review, audit, and reporting processes for a consulting/services organization of significant scale.
Experience managing PMO tools, templates and governance frameworks as a system owner, not just an end user.
Strong experience operating from a regional hub supporting North America stakeholders is a plus.
Tools & Technical Fluency
Deep, hands-on experience with PSA/resource management platforms (Upland, Certinia etc.) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
Strong working knowledge of project/portfolio management tools (Smartsheet, Jira, or similar).
Practical, current knowledge of AI tools applied to services delivery — using platforms like Claude or Copilot to automate reporting, drafting, and engagement analysis, plus familiarity with no-code/low-code automation platforms.
Advanced Excel and BI proficiency (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) for building operational and audit-ready dashboards.
Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles as they apply to services engagements.
Skills & Attributes
Strong financial and analytical acumen — comfortable owning margin, utilization, and audit conversations with Finance and executive stakeholders.
Track record of building scalable, auditable processes from the ground up in a fast-moving environment.
Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by using modern tools, including AI, to reinvent how operations work rather than just maintaining existing process.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Operations, or related field; MBA a plus but not required.
