As a General Project Management Project Director, you will be responsible for enabling the business to effectively drive change, and work with stakeholders and business partners at all levels of the organization to align and deliver the strategic direction of the business.

Strategy & Business Change

  • Support the alignment and delivery of the business strategy in line with the overarching strategy of GSK - Innovation, Performance and Trust
  • Facilitate the development of the business unit plan aligned with the new business strategy. Enable and support the implementation of major change initiatives that help deliver the strategy.
  • Create and implement appropriate change management (including communication) plans applying the GSK Framework and supporting toolkit that maximize employee engagement and manage natural organizational resistance to support change initiatives.

Enhance effectiveness

  • Serve as a member of business Leadership Team (LT), sponsor key cross team responsibilities as appropriate
  • Lead the business program governance activities to facilitate efficiency improvements
  • Design and support regular global communications for the business.

Engagement:

  • Maintain and expand networks across the business and the wider GSK community
  • Work with the business communication team to create impactful communications on exciting and impactful projects related to the business as well as other news / topics across the wider GSK community
  • Listen to the voice of the customer (VOC), model GSK Behaviours and lead by example
  • Create a supportive atmosphere in which to provide coaching, feedback and help to senior leaders and staff

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated Project leadership and management skills
  • Practical experience working with change management approaches on a range of projects / programs
  • Experience transitioning teams and organizations from a current state to a desired future state

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Advanced Degree, preferably in sciences or Business Administration
  • Highly motivated, agile & adept learning ability;
  • Ability to thoughtfully challenge status-quo
  • Strong ability to influence at all levels of the organization, particularly directors to VP level
  • Drives change with a high degree of trust and credibility, providing clear project focus and direction
