Commercial Finance Analyst

We are looking for a high performing Commercial Finance Analyst to join the Travel Partnerships and Media (TPM) team. TPM is a crucial organization leading Expedia Group’s core relationships with the largest global airline, lodging and car rental partners across 200+ countries.

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the TPM Commercial Finance team supporting the Trips (Air) group within TPM. This is an integral role reporting into the Senior Manager of Commercial Finance. In this role you will be a key business partner to the business team managing our vital airline partnerships.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Support commercial negotiations with Airline partners alongside the Air (Growth) Commercial team
  • Support and partner with the business to find opportunities for improvement in process, commercial agreements, customer experience and revenue growth
  • Develop and share best-practices with other team members to improve coordination and communication and help the team win
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports, variance analyses, trend analysis and financial review documents
  • Troubleshooting data issues and proactively investigating unusual trends or variances
  • Key point-of-contact for communicating updates to and answering queries from stakeholders, whilst responding and investigating in a timely manner
  • Push where necessary for further investigation and interpretation
  • Use business intelligence (BI) tools to drive deeper insight into the business
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by business partners

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting field or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
  • 2+ years professional Accounting, Finance or Audit experience, Public Accounting experience is a plus
  • Robust Excel skills: ability to build models, simplify existing formulas, sense-check data sets for accuracy and completeness, and troubleshoot when errors arise
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and evidenced ability to partner with varying levels of management
  • Proven ability to deep-dive into large data sets and identify key drivers or unusual variances
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously and to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to think “outside the box” as required and identify alternative solutions
  • Strong attention to detail & comfort in being a subject matter expert
  • A relationship builder, exceptional listener and team player
  • Experienced and enthusiastic working in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments
  • Someone who thrives in large, global, fast-moving organizations

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $66,000.00 to $92,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $105,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.  Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
