The Role:  This critical role for Conference, Training and Strategic Media (CTSM) will ensure full engagement and connectivity between teams across Commodity Insights including research, commercial and client experience, to ensure the full breadth of expertise and the power of S&P Global is engaged in the successful delivery and commercial outcomes of our conferences and events.

The Impact: The Head of Engagement and Integration will be a primary link between the S&P Global business units and relevant individuals across our research, benchmark, data and consulting teams, as well as commercial and customer experience teams for 360 organizational visibility.

Our goal is to ensure optimal integration between conferences and business expertise, to support portfolio growth, client success, messaging and sales goals.

Specifically, research and technical information from the business lines will be shared across CTSM to support:

  • Relevant and timely agendas for conferences and events

  • Speaker acquisition for conferences and new technical leaders for training programmes

  • Generation of potential new conference and training programme ideas

  • Marketing messages and collateral to be used across events, training and strategic media

  • Upskilling and provision of deeper market knowledge among CTSM teams

  • Briefing of commercial teams in selling CTSM products and engagement for subscription sales and renewals

  • Consistent communication and engagement between CI divisions and CTSM, embedding latest research and thinking into CTSM.

  • Continuity, communication and integration of messaging to allow Conferences, Training and Strategi media products to be a bridge to commercial success for CI.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure knowledge and research from the 4 business lines is available to the CTSM business team (events, training, marketing and strategic media) to ensure best quality agendas/ programmes incorporate the latest research and insights; content should be re-purposed as appropriate for use in events, training, marketing and sales messages and outreach

  • Represent CTSM across CI and S&P Global for visibility into current and upcoming conferences and TSM - to assists in the building of our knowledge base, ensuring we have the best events and training in the market.

  • Develop and maintains a strong database of thought leaders and leading-edge practitioners (internally and externally) to highlight as speakers or participants in events and to also contribute in the Training business, strategic media and other commercial offerings

  • Support the development of relationships with key stakeholders externally for the CTSM business to for our portfolio of products

  • Support and expands the network of executives both among and within companies who participate in CTSM business creating new ideas and concepts on a regular basis

  • Work across Marketing and Communications in the development of new strategies and collateral to promote CTSM’s suite of product offerings

  • Work across S&P to ensure topic integration, communication and awareness of all activities and facilitates the interchange of ideas across the 4 main business areas

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record in organizational change, specific to Conferences

  • Fast, agile learner, extremely organised curious about issues across Energy and Energy Transition

  • Experience in the Energy arena with a broad network; or a technical field relevant to Commodity & Insights

  • Understanding of commercial activity and pathways to success including marketing channels

  • Ability to manage up and down and across the organization and externally in support of varying levels of engagement

  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to multitask efficiently and work effectively with diverse and geographically spread people

  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proven ability to interact with senior management levels

  • Experience working in a matrixed organization structure

  • Ability to influence without authority

  • Experience of working in global environments
