Internship conversion position for the Network Systems Department for the Communication Technologies and Engineering Division (CTED).
Job Summary
The Communication Technologies and Engineering Division (CTED) represents the disciplines of communications, networking, and PNT (Position, Navigation, and Timing) in support of space missions, along with their enabling technologies. In our domain, CTED projects comprise all aspects, from architectures to prototypes to implementation, theoretical to hands-on. Our engineers work directly with corporate and U.S. Government customers to ensure robust and resilient communications.
The Network Systems Department is involved with the entire process of system acquisition; from requirements development all the way to validation and verification. The chosen candidate will support our modeling and simulation/emulation tool development as well as our post-processing suite of tools. Work Model
This position will be a 100% on-site in El Segundo, Ca.
What You’ll Be Doing
Participate in the development and improvement of our networking modeling and simulation suite of tools.
Participate in development of data analysis and post-processing tools.
Collaborate onsite or remotely with our experienced networking engineers.

What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or closely related technical discipline from an accredited college/university, pursuing or conferred within last 12 months.
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Previous internship with Aerospace Corporation
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Fluent proficiency in a programming language. Python and C++ preferred.
Proficiency in analytical, simulation, and/or experimental skills.
Familiarity with computer networking concepts.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
