Job Purpose
The Cloud FinOps Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing cloud expenditures on the Azure platform. This role focuses on providing insights, analysis, and recommendations for cost-saving opportunities, ensuring the organization maximizes its cloud investment while aligning with business objectives. The analyst will work closely with various teams to drive financial accountability and transparency in cloud spending.

Responsibilities
Cloud Resource Management:
Implement and manage cloud cost allocation models.
Ensure effective tagging and categorization of cloud resources.
Provide recommendations for resource optimization and efficiency.
Cost Management and Optimization:
Monitor and analyze cloud usage and expenditure.
Use Azure platform tools (e.g., Azure Resource Graph, Azure Monitoring) and Central FinOps tools to perform in-depth cost analysis.
Develop and implement cost-saving strategies.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and budgets.
Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the Application Product Team and Infrastructure Hosting Team to identify and implement cost optimization strategies.
Drive FinOps Actions: Lead and execute cost optimization actions, ensuring timelines and objectives are met to achieve the overall FinOps goals.
Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive FinOps reports using PowerBI, providing stakeholders with clear and actionable insights.
Financial Forecasting: Provide accurate forecasting and budgeting for cloud expenditures, aiding in financial planning and strategy.
Policy Development: Establish and enforce cloud financial management policies and best practices.
Training and Support: Educate internal teams on cost management strategies and tools, promoting a culture of cost awareness and optimization.
Required Skills & Qualification
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, FinOps Certified Practitioner) are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud financial management, with a strong focus on Azure services.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Azure platform tools for cost analysis (e.g., Azure Resource Graph, Azure Monitoring) and Central FinOps tools.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Reporting Skills: Expertise in creating detailed and visually appealing reports using PowerBI.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
