Job Summary 
 
As a Senior Information Technology Database Administrator, you will ensure data warehouse databases are performing and being maintained to ensure a positive experience with the technology our associates use every day. In this role, you will lead the management of processes, improve user experiences, and support technology adoption with a critical focus on cloud technology and SQL development. These skills will be used to:  
  • Provide leadership and direction to optimize applications and drive issue resolution. 
  • Design, implement, and maintain database structures and schemas. 
  • Work closely with both internal and external app development and analytics teams to optimize database designs for performance and scalability. 
  • Install and configure database management systems (DBMS) and Azure cloud PaaS / SaaS products. 
  • Plan and execute data migration and integration projects. 
  • Monitor database growth and plan for future capacity needs. 
  • Monitor and analyze database performance, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and ensuring optimal performance. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures. 
  • Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability in case of failures. 
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as database reorganization and index optimization. 
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Strong knowledge of database design, performance tuning, and optimization. 
  • Experience with backup and recovery (BCDR) processes. 
  • Familiarity with database security best practices. 
  • Experience in SQL Server database development, Azure and AWS Cloud services, and external APIs. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI SaaS products 
Physical demands and work environment: 
  • Must be able to use sensory skills (i.e. verbal communication) to effectively communicate and interact with other Associates and customers. 
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions and use fine motor skills (i.e. typing, writing) to operate office supplies (i.e. computer, calculator, copier). 
  • Must be able to lift and carry approximately 20-25lbs unassisted. 
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time with low periods of reaching and standing.
