Job Description Summary

The Lead Finance Specialist is a key finance role reporting to the Advanced Nuclear Finance Leader and partnering closely with the Advanced Nuclear operations team. This position supports all planning cycles—strategic plan, annual budget, short-range forecasts, and pacing—as well as monthly/quarterly financial KPI management for the Advanced Nuclear business.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial dashboards, and Bowler KPIs; tie KPIs to financial results.

  • Own financials for Advanced Nuclear value stream overhead, including headcount planning and variance analysis.

  • Reconcile R&D spend by project using BI dashboards; partner with operations to resolve discrepancies.

  • Develop executive-ready materials for internal leadership, GE Vernova/Power reviews, and Board presentations.

  • Drive process improvements with the Advanced Nuclear Finance Leader to monitor spend, define operating metrics, and improve accuracy and timeliness.

  • Support the Advanced Nuclear Finance Leader with weekly tracking of risks and opportunities; maintain scorecards at multiple levels to ensure commitments are met.

  • Maintain the Advanced Nuclear finance data pack and internal pacing files; coordinate inputs with Finance Managers and resolve disconnects.

  • Improve efficiency and performance by delivering high-quality financial insights that drive productivity and profitability.

  • Participate in simplification projects that increase capacity for value-added financial analysis.

  • Support annual budget, strategic plan, and short-range forecasts across the income statement, cost categories, and headcount; own inputs in planning tools.

  • Support ad-hoc analyses and special requests from the Advanced Nuclear Finance Leader.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Finance & FP&A Operations. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $95,300.00 and $158,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
