The role requires collaboration with other teams to support application functionality and integrations.
I involves the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle databases to ensure performance, availability, and security. Key responsibilities include performing backups and recovery, applying patches and upgrades, and tuning the database for optimal performance. They also manage security by creating and managing users, roles, and permissions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Installation and configuration: Set up and configure PeopleSoft environments, including application servers, web servers, and databases (e.g., Oracle). Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases across various environments.
- Maintenance and upgrades: Manage system patches, upgrades, and migrations. Use tools like Change Assistant for PUM upgrades.
- Performance tuning: Monitor system performance and tune web servers, application servers, and databases to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime. Monitor and tune database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize SQL queries and configurations.
- Monitoring and support: Proactively monitor system health, security, and capacity. Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues across the PeopleSoft architecture.
- Data management: Perform regular data refreshes and manage data backup and recovery operations.
- Security: Implement and enforce security policies. Configure security settings and manage user access.
- Automation: Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine administrative tasks, such as backups, patching, and monitoring.
Database-
- Installation and configuration: Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases across various environments.
- Maintenance and upgrades: Manage system patches, upgrades, and migrations. Use tools like Change Assistant for PUM upgrades.
- Backup and recovery: Develop, implement, and manage database backup and recovery strategies, including disaster recovery plans.
- Patching and upgrades: Apply patches, updates, and upgrades to the database environment.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues to ensure high availability and minimum downtime.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with PeopleSoft tools like Change Assistant and Integration Broker.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft architecture, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Unix, Linux), and database management (e.g., Oracle).
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft upgrade methodology and PUM (PeopleSoft Update Manager) upgrades.
- Experience with SQL for analysis and reporting.
- Oracle database refresh and cloning.
- Oracle RDBMS installation( Stand alone and cloud)
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2- 4 years of experience in PeopleSoft Administration.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
