Job Responsibilities:

Job Description Summary

The Project & Mafact Leader is responsible for program launch throughout the entire product life cycle, from RFQ through the end of production, and lead the cross-functional team to implement Continuous Improvement activities in the division – based on our Magna Factory Concept MAFACT. This role involves all coordination between the plant and the rest of the organization for new programs, serial life management or CI projects,  
The Project & Mafact Leader will lead projects, process and product activities to ensure the right support for other departments and guarantee the readiness for all program gate.

Hiring Requirements :

- Lead all activities in the plant during the product life cycle from concept, quoting, program award, product development.

- Preparation and communication of program review meeting with the plant management and with the MAGNA organization

- Coordinating / monitoring project documentation, timelines, technical performance, budget including expense/tooling/capital, production, quality deliverables, corrective action initiatives, conducting risk analyses and implementing required counter actions.

- Lead and coordinate Change Management System through an understanding of design, specs, costs & timing, and ensure due dates are met.

- Manage Series Production Phase including claims management, change management & continuous improvement, and execution of ongoing price negotiations / adjustments.

- Support and adhere to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system.

- Conduct regular program status reviews in order to understand detailed status and to challenge the teams and assist in decision making.

- Maintain working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.

- Create the improvement plan including monthly implementation tracking for all MAFACT sections; present MAFACT status at monthly General Meeting.

Required Profile

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an engineering school or a higher professional training program.

- 3+ years of project/program management experience along with a verifiable record of results in both disciplines within the automotive industry

- Advanced process knowledge of core processes of the division METAL

- Ability to focus on delivering services in a way that enhances/maximizes profitability. 

- Ensure that the team delivers services that reflect the organization’s value and competitive advantage

-Ability to find creative solutions and generate results in a dynamic market environment

- Fluent in French and English

- Excellent command of IT tools .
