As part of the Loyalty Portfolio Team at Loblaw, you will be part of a group that drives the future direction of Canada's largest and most loved loyalty program.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Loyalty Strategy & Member Engagement, you will leverage your analytical mindset and passion for customer experience to evolve the PC Optimum loyalty program by enhancing how we engage our customers with a focus on our digital channels. You will focus your efforts on supporting PC Optimum’s personalization strategy by executing and evolving targeted offers to optimize for customer (e.g., member engagement) and business outcomes (e.g., investment efficiency).

Please note this position is based out of Loblaw's Downtown Toronto office (500 Lake Shore Blvd W). The successful candidate will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week. As of October 2024, Loblaw colleagues will be expected to work in the office 4 days per week.

What you'll do

  • Execute PC Optimum’s personalized offer strategy by managing targeting engine requirements, evolving the offer library, and proactively identifying opportunities to optimize customer (e.g., member earn rate, NPS) and business (e.g., investment efficiency, vendor revenue) outcomes
  • Provide analytical and reporting support for member engagement initiatives, including by analyzing offer performance, segmenting customers, managing the Loyalty team’s engagement budget, and preparing weekly and monthly reporting
  • Own project management activities for program innovation and customer engagement projects from inception to implementation, including building and tracking progress against work plans, monitoring interdependencies and risks, owning workstream and SteerCo documentation (e.g., agendas, meeting minutes, decision logs), and delivering timely status updates
  • Assist in the exploration and evaluation of new opportunities for PC Optimum, including by conducting research, developing action plans, building financial models, and preparing recommendations for varying audiences ranging from individual contributors to senior leadership (VP+)
  • As necessary, support the implementation and ongoing execution of new member engagement tactics (e.g., new marketing channels, offer types)
  • Across all of the above responsibilities, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including but not limited to Retail Divisions, Business & Customer Insights, Loyalty Operations, Loyalty Member Growth, Vendor Loyalty, Loyalty Technology, Marketing and/or Loblaw Digital

Does this sound like you?

  • Hands-on experience. You have a bachelors education in a Business, Commerce, or an equivalent program. You have 2-5 years of experience working in strategy, consulting, analytics, project management, and/or customer experience. Bonus points if you have experience in retail and/or loyalty.
  • Exceptional data and technology fluency. Strong strategies are grounded in data-led insights and you'll be expected to analyze and summarize data from a variety of internal and external data sources – all while balancing technical constraints, operational considerations, and complex product roadmaps.
  • Proactive problem solver. As the team balances multiple projects, you will have the opportunity to lead the development of key deliverables, proactively advancing the project and solutioning challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills. You enjoy storytelling and presenting to key stakeholders. You have a proven track record of your ability to share findings and explain complex concepts to varying audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional stakeholders. You will be expected to build strong relationships and trust in a matrixed organization.
  • Detail oriented. Every optimization takes getting the small details right to make our final member experience as seamless as possible. Ensuring the accuracy in each step of our processes is essential to successfully advancing our strategic initiatives.
  • Loyalty curious. You have interest in learning about the loyalty industry, and are excited by the idea of driving business value through delighting customers.
