In this position and under limited direction, you will design, modify, analyze, install, test, and turnup communication solutions for production use in government networks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop virtualization plans, policies, and designs.
  • Configure and implement virtualization solutions based upon the customer’s performance criteria and specifications.
  • Understand and implement disaster recovery procedures.
  • Experience interpreting, implementing, and assessing DISA STIGs
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity hardening practices for virtualization, server operating systems, and applications.
  • Experience monitoring, diagnosing, and optimizing server performance while maintaining IA compliance.
  • Engineer highly available and fault tolerant solutions.
  • Design, configure and implement solutions based upon the customer’s performance criteria and specifications.
  • Conduct systems pre-test and acceptance tests to validate the designed performance criteria.
  • Structure mock designs based upon RFP specifications in support of the Bids & Proposal teams.
  • Collaborate with government and /or subcontractors at customer site for solution integration into existing infrastructure.
  • Develop and perform technical presentations for customers.
  • Serve as technical resource at customer briefings.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians
  • Serve as technical lead on projects.
  • Travel to other CACI Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
  • Requires travel (up to 50%) globally.
  • Understand and adhere to all CACI Ethical and Compliance policies.
  • Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to CACI EH&S policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • If required, obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level required to perform the duties of the position.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Knowledge of VMware vSphere (ESX, ESXi), virtualization performance, VMware host hardening, virtual routing and switching
  • Experience designing secure virtualization environments, to include but not limited storage, switching, guest VM design and deployment.
  • Ability to communicate virtualization and performance issues to peers and customers.
  • Technical Degree - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Related
  • 5 years experience in systems engineering and IT
  • VMware VCTA or VCP certification
  • Microsoft Certified Information Technology Associate
  • COMPTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret level security clearance
  • Systems integration experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required, including Microsoft SharePoint

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional
  • CISSP, CASP, or equivalent
  • Experience with DoD data center solutions
  • Experience in using drawing tools such as Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD is desired

$70,900 - $148,900
