Position Description:
Develops and improves database design practices using Power Designer, Oracle Designer, and Erwin. Performs database querying using SQL. Deploys efficient physical database designs to reduce time-to-market metrics using relational/NoSQL database management systems, Big Data technologies, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Develops technical guidelines and standards for data modeling checklists and maintains data repositories using Snowflake. Participates in all aspects of database design, including conceptual, logical, physical, 3NF, and dimensional designs, at both a project and enterprise level. Partners with project teams, vendors, support organizations, functional architects, systems specialists and other technical resources to gather information requirements and deliver data modeling solutions for business and technology functions.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Architect (or closely related occupation) analyzing business information requirements and delivering conceptual, logical, and physical data models, using ERStudio, Oracle Designer, or Erwin.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Architect (or closely related occupation) analyzing business information requirements and delivering conceptual, logical, and physical data models, using ERStudio, Oracle Designer, or Erwin.
