Animal Doctors of South Tampa is looking to add a hard-working veterinary technician to our team. We are a walk-in only clinic supporting the Tampa Bay Area.

Animal Doctors of South Tampa is actively looking for a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our amazing team. We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Certified Veterinary Technician who is confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, has experience with x-ray and proper positioning, understands the importance of client education, and is a supportive and positive team player. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and growing and Animal Doctors of South Tampa encourages its staff to do the same. If you are a Certified Veterinary Technician looking to take your skills to the next level, engage in the everyday reward of helping animals, and work with a great team then we can not wait to hear from you.

Qualifications

Experience as a veterinary technician.

Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.

Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.

Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.

Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.

Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
