Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced technical leader to manage a high-caliber team of engineers based in our Poland Engineering Innovation Center (EIC). In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to advancing Heavy Duty Gas Turbine (HDGT) engineering solutions for a global customer base. You will serve as a key pillar within our global engineering organization, ensuring that the Polish EIC delivers world-class technical innovation while maintaining alignment with global strategy, processes, and standards.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Global Team Leadership: Provide direct leadership, coaching, and career development to a diverse team of engineers in the Poland EIC. Foster a culture of technical curiosity, innovation, and global collaboration.
  • Center of Excellence Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Poland engineering team, ensuring that project outputs are high-quality, delivered on schedule, and integrated seamlessly into global product roadmaps.
  • Global Integration: Act as the vital link between the Poland EIC and global engineering counterparts. You will ensure that local engineering activities are synchronized with global design standards, R&D priorities, and service-level agreements.
  • Innovation & Technical Growth: Drive the implementation of new engineering tools and methodologies within the EIC. Support the team in solving complex, global technical challenges related to the HDGT fleet.
  • Talent Development: Identify, attract, and retain top-tier engineering talent in Poland. Conduct performance reviews, set development goals, and manage succession planning for the local unit.
  • Stakeholder Management: Represent the Poland EIC in global leadership forums. Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Global Services, R&D) to ensure the team’s output meets the evolving needs of the global fleet.

Required Qualifications

  • MSc/BSc in Engineering.
  • Significant experience in leadership within an engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of gas turbine services section’s expertise including reliability analyses and processes.
  • Strategy thinking.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to organize, motivate, and manage people.
  • Effective team building and project management ability.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering budgeting processes and practices.
