Based in Korea and reporting to the Content Operations Manager, the Senior Specialist will be responsible for overseeing operational workflows to ensure timely delivery and high-quality availability of content on the Viki platform.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end operational tasks throughout the content lifecycle, with a focus on diverse content from various regions.

• Lead the onboarding process for new content, including:

  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to align on launch schedules.

  • Collaborating with external partners to communicate asset requirements and manage delivery timelines.

  • Setting up and maintaining geo-restrictions and content windowing based on content strategy.

  • Uploading and transcoding video content to meet platform specifications and deadlines.
     

• Oversee the renewal and offboarding process of existing content in accordance with licensing and strategic timelines.

• Execute operational tasks to ensure a high-quality viewing experience on Viki, including:

  • Perform video mastering and formatting tasks to ensure content meets platform standards.

  • Manage and organize master assets throughout the content lifecycle.

  • Oversee content metadata operations, ensuring metadata is accurate, complete, and aligned with platform requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the broadcast, media, or streaming industry with a focus on operational efficiency and tool optimization.

• Fluent in English and Korean, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

• Hands-on experience with video editing software and familiarity with a variety of media formats and codecs.

• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with meticulous attention to detail, ability to thoroughly gather requirements, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions.

• Solid understanding of OTT business models, video streaming platforms, and content delivery pipelines.
