Job Description:

We are looking for a special kind of person – a St Vincent’s kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.

As a Registered Nurse, you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent's Care Service, Auburn.

Our facility offers residents a supportive and welcoming environment, with Residential Living aged care, Independent Living and Community Living services all available at the same location.  

This is a temporary part-time opportunity working 3 days per week- parental leave coverage until 3rd December 2024 on Wednesday 630-1430, Thursday 1430-2100, Sunday 2215-0645 (please apply only if your availability matches in full).

Things that work for us:

  • Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is essential

  • Clinical nursing practice experience in an aged care facility preferred (2 years+ desirable)

  • Experience with NDIS and Huntington's Disease highly regarded

  • Permanent Part Time can work these shifts: parental leave coverage until 3rd December 2024 on Wednesday 630-1430, Thursday 1430-2100, Sunday 2215-0645 (please apply only if your availability matches in full).

  • Exhibit leadership skills with the ability to lead a team by example

  • High level of customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to follow directives as per care plan

  • Excellent record keeping skills with experience using Autumn Care (or similar) desirable

  • Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities

  • National Police Certificate

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check is a requirement of this role.
