Inside the Role
As the Technical Project Management Analyst II (Product Problem Evaluation Committee (PPEC) Coordinator, you will work within the Powertrain Current Product Reliability team to facilitate the launch of recalls and campaigns. In this role, you will lead the PPEC reviews and closely work with partners across the entire value chain from Product Development to Aftersales to manage the execution of the PPEC process steps, assign tasks, evaluate deliverables to ensure successful launch of field actions.Posting Information

Position offers a starting salary range of $86,000 - $110,000 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead teams from diverse groups including Service, Engineering, Warranty, Service Methods, Diagnostics, and Field/Fleet Representatives. Provides technical and analytical guidance to the project team
Process Management: Lead the PPEC by defining clear processes, focus areas, priorities, action plans, and reporting structures. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports, conducting risk analysis and monitoring the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets
Strategic Decision Making: Utilize a deep understanding of end-to-end service, warranty, and engineering operations to prevent recall/campaign issues that could incur unidentified costs or technical hurdles. Uses specific technical knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for a technical process or project
Data Analytics: Analyze field and warranty data to predict cost estimates, set warranty accrual risks, and identify emerging issues in launched topics. Analyzes and documents requirements by liaising with a range of users in the organization
Continuous Improvement: Utilize the "Simpler, Faster, Stronger" mentality to identify new processes and use structured problem-solving methods to drive root-cause resolution for system failures.
Compliance & Support: Support Emission TCC and Safety TCT compliance reviews for recall technical preparation; support warranty rate planning and vendor recovery activities. Ensures adherence to quality standards and review of project deliverables
Reporting: Manage all documentation and management reporting for field quality issues and "Lessons Learned" collections. Analyzes and documents requirements by liaising with a range of users in the organization
Knowledge You Should Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering/engineering technology, project management, business management, or a related field.
Experience: 2–4 years of related experience
Strong understanding of warranty and technician repair processes.
Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies (Shainin, 8D, Six Sigma, etc.).
Familiarity with engine components and powertrain operation fundamentals.
Familiar with compliance safety/emission-related processes.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and data analytics.
Soft Skills: High level of interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
Experience with Online Warranty Link (OWL) and Quality Management Operating System (QMOS).
Familiarity with Detroit service systems (SalesForce, Doctrac, SKUgle, DTNA Connect, Virtual Technician).
Experience with Detroit service tools (Reservoir, Diagnostic Link, DDEC Reports).
Familiarity with production and quality systems (PTSI, SISAM).
