A Brief Overview
The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for subordinate development, supplier relationships and performance, supply agreements and negotiation for goods and services at Safelite®.

What you will do

  • Ensure all major spend categories are strategically aligned with our global strategy and are under contract
  • Confirm all supplier relationships are effectively measured, managed and developed
  • Internal stakeholders are effectively coached and supported during sourcing/purchasing events
  • Develops a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service
  • Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct
  • Prepare and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications
  • Other duties assigned by management.


Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
     

Experience Qualifications

  • 7-9 years Required
  • Previous experience leading teams Preferred
     

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Buying and Sourcing, including procurement, demand/supply planning, and relationships management and strong knowledge of contracts and negotiation techniques
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Access
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
