Your impact at MUFG

Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst within the Regulatory Reporting and Data Management Office, you will support the bank by seeking effective business solutions for the delivery of data to enable quality management information as well as reporting to meet the bank’s external regulatory disclosures. You will also play a key role in the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives of existing processes within the bank.

You will lead the analysis of stakeholder requirements and work closely with IT colleagues to ensure those requirements are delivered.  You will manage multiple initiatives and lead the coordination of tasks required to ensure timely delivery of these initiatives.   In addition, you will also proactively identify potential benefits and available options for consideration and work with business users in designing acceptance tests for new systems or changes to existing systems and business processes.

You will also document and maintain the traceability of requirements through to deliverables on any project, with the aim of ensuring the final delivery meets the business’ requirements.

The role includes the following:

  • Leading the analysis of stakeholder requirements and working closely with IT colleagues to ensure those requirements are delivered. 
  • Playing a leading role in the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Delivering effective business solutions to key stakeholders including the Regulatory Reporting department to the meet new regulatory requirements.
  • Managing multiple initiatives and lead the coordination of tasks required to ensure timely delivery of these initiatives.  
  • Managing diverse stakeholders at all levels of seniority and technical / non-technical backgrounds to deliver business requirements.
  • Proactively identifying potential benefits, and available options for consideration.
  • Working with users in defining acceptance tests for new systems or changes to existing systems or business processes.
  • Documenting and maintaining the traceability of requirements through to deliverables on projects / change or improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitating stakeholder workshops and presenting issues and solutions both orally and in writing.
  • Producing clearly defined acceptance tests for automated systems.
  • Defining and justifying (in business terms) initiatives to develop/implement automated and non-automated components of new or changed business processes.

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to degree level (Bachelor’s or higher)
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as Business Analyst in data focused projects
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills through English, both oral and written
  • Experience with preparing project artefacts including business requirements and project plans
  • Strong organisational and planning capabilities and experience
  • Ability to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and to delegate tasks to others
  • Strong programming skills in SQL and preferably Python
  • Ability to make sense of complex situations and rapidly prioritise issues to take effective decisions.
  • Team player with the ability to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines
  • Solid experience in Power BI preferred
  • Current Prince II Foundation (or equivalent) preferred
  • SCRUM/Agile (basics) is an advantage
  • Experience of Regulatory Reporting in a banking environment (preferred)
  • Product testing / test design experience (preferred)
