Responsible for medium-sized sales territories.
Job Description
What will you do:
- Establish a deep understanding of our customers’ business and technical needs.
- Design, describe, and defend competitive Technical and cost-optimized offers in the EMEA region and in particular in MENAT, using GE Vernova Solution of the OPERATE portfolio.
- Translate customer requirements into existing product building blocks and / or roadmap, and design what it takes to fill the gap for technical offers in the EMEA region. This shall be done while carefully analyzing and tuning the compliance versus cost balance.
- Design and produce innovative and competitive offers for WAMS, SCADA/ADMS and SCADA/AEMS new systems, or to address new business cases or regulatory changes for existing customers. Offers might include both hardware, third party software and GE Vernova software. In any case, sound, secured, and cost optimized architecture shall be designed.
- Use estimating configurators to determine effort that will be required to install, configure, and test the proposed solution but also improve them over time.
- Participate in ATQ process
- Introduce new products, processed and new deployment methods
- Support SEP Engineers in India and Brazil
- Be the decision owner on both effort estimates and planning.
- Alleviate or limit risks of future technical or financial deviations during project.
- Convince both internally and externally of the design choices he/she made for a wide range of audience (managers, operators, developers, IT people...)
- Defend the commercial value of the offers, insofar possible in relation with the initial customer business / use cases.
- Demonstrate innovation, curiosity, adaptation to rapidly evolving technology such as IT architecture (Cloud, Hybrid, etc.), delivery methods (CI/CD, DevOps), cyber security threats, and new distribution applications e.g. pertaining to renewable integration in distribution network, flexibility, and enhanced collaboration between DSO and TSO.
- Accompany and support GEV customers in their own innovation programs.
- Develop evolution path and migration plans for key GE customers from their current system to the target GEV product strategy (in particular next generation of WAMS, SCADA/ADMS and SCADA/EMS).
- Drive excellence and suggests improvements and new ideas: listen and suggest.
- Negotiate with customers; ensure deals deliver shareholder value; drive competitive pricing.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of own and others sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups and uses analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Have knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Use some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems with projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers. Ability to prioritize information for decision making. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
What will you bring:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electric/ Electrical engineer or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in power systems, EMS and DMS.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in tendering
- Be a recognized expert in WAMS, Inertia, and either ADMS or AEMS solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in preparation of technical proposal for complex tenders and setup.
- Demonstrated experience in designing solutions that are innovative, doable on time and on budgets on both functional and nonfunctional aspects.
- Fluent in French and English
