Network Administrator

We are KRAFTON – a collective of independent game development studios brought together to create innovative and engaging entertainment experiences for gamers across the world. Since the release of our flagship title – PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS – in 2017, it has become one of the highest-selling video games of all time with over 70 million copies sold. We are headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, with regional KRAFTON offices located across the globe. Our Amsterdam office is home to KRAFTON Europe, with several key product and publishing teams focused on Western markets based here, along with our Esports team. It is also home to the Black Budget development team, who are busy working on our upcoming new title.

The position of Network Administrator will work within the European IT team to provide specialist skills for maintaining, upgrading and troubleshooting backend network hardware as well as core server infrastructure in our Amsterdam office, often working together with head office in Korea. Working in collaboration with the IT Manager, IT Support Specialists and Systems Administrator to ensure smooth functioning of existing systems while providing plans and advice on future projects.

The role will be supporting multiple functions in the Amsterdam office, including game development, publishing and corporate support; the role will provide essential networking knowledge and take full ownership of the network infrastructure at the site.

Basic Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise in critical networking infrastructure, taking full ownership of the hardware.
• Be the primary point of contact for troubleshooting networking related issues.
• Maintain thorough documentation and diagrams of existing infrastructure as well as be able to scope and plan any enhancements, upgrades or changes.
• Enhance existing monitoring and logging capabilities from network hardware.
• Assist in the maintenance of core server infrastructure (DNS, DHCP, etc.)
• Provide expert knowledge to other team members for optimal setups and configurations of new systems and servers.
• Analysing, assessing and making recommendations on network security risks in collaboration with the IT Manager.

Required experience:

• Demonstrable experience in a network or systems administration role
• Exposure to Palo Alto and Cisco network hardware.
• Previous experience in maintaining relationships with hardware and license vendors and suppliers.
• Thorough understanding of network technologies – routing & switching protocols, firewall rules, VPN connections, network architecture & cabling.
• Excellent communication skills, English fluency required.
• Able to work in an environment with rapidly evolving requirements and frequent fast turnarounds on results.
• Working with and mentoring junior colleagues, while also maintaining a high level of autonomy.
• Demonstrate an understanding of core Windows network technologies (DNS, DHCP, etc.)

“Nice to have” experience:

• A broad base of IT experience.
• Video games publishing or development experience.
• Previous role working in Korea or with Korean businesses.
• Experience with Netbox, Zabbix, Jira & Confluence, Grafana/ELK.
• Any Cisco professional certification or similar
