The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

• You will implement effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy and regional/global Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.

• You will ensure all relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly. Ensure alignment between local SCM activities and the SCM centers.

• You will collaborate with proposal, project, and category teams to determine necessary items for procurement during the project. Develop schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets to support project purchasing process.

• You will implement programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, delivery and working capital (payment terms, lead times, order quantities and purchased material inventory).

• You will secure full utilization of Pro-Supply global supplier relationship management platform according to relevant procedure, both related to sharing of supplier information and to finding existing high performing suppliers.

• You will manage planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts. Ensure buyers minimize risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance.

• You will leverage CIPS category teams locally, regionally and globally to ensure appropriate supplier selection. Define and establish local standard agreements with all major local suppliers.

• You will provide and maintain standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives and guidelines.

• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

• You hold a bachelor's or above degree, electrical or mechanical engineering related major preferred.

• Advanced Theoretical with 3+ years of experience. ISM CPSM certification preferred.

• Responsible and stable, positive & innovative, self-driven & persistent with work pressure, strong communication & collaboration.

• Proficiency in business level in verbal and written English.
