About the role

Chime is looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our SpotMe team within the FinPlat org. You will gain valuable professional experience working with cutting edge cloud technology platforms and distributed systems alongside engineers with a wealth of experience to share. This is an exciting opportunity to learn while playing a role in a critical initiative at Chime.

This role is structured as a 3 month engagement. The starting hourly rate offered for this role and target level of experience will begin at $34 and up to $49. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. 

In this role, you can expect to 

  • Contribute to feature development
  • Learn about working on a large scale production system

To thrive in this role, you have

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Creative thinker and self starter with a passion for consumer FinTech
  • Are flexible and enjoy doing whatever it takes to execute on complex projects
  • Have a low ego and are comfortable working directly well with a wide range of stakeholders
