Summary of Role:
We are searching for a Principal Analyst Supply Chain - Material Manager to join the Material Management Team in Global Supply Chain (GSC). This individual will be responsible for leading the EMEA region for monitoring key supply chain parameters to enable GlobalFoundries manufacturing. This role is critical because it will be the face of GSC to provide the “green to build” signal to the regional manufacturing teams.

Essential Responsibilities:
We are transforming our Planning Team’s forecasting model to enhance predictions of future demand, resource allocation, and inventory management. This requires strict governance and oversight to ensure that our suppliers are meeting the needs of GF’s manufacturing commitments. We are looking for leaders to exercise process governance with leading edge detection models, partner with internal and external stakeholders, drive process improvements, and report out on key performance metrics that are critical for our manufacturing process.
Success: Within the first 6-12 months, what are the most important performance goals I would be expected to complete for you to consider me successful in this role?
Understand the Bill of Materials requirement and how it is tied to the manufacturing process.
Understand the Material and Parts Consumption engines and how they impact forecast variance as key inputs and observations for the team to execute to.
Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders (AME, Facilities, Quality, GSM, Proc-Ops) to understand how Materials Management is integral to these connection points.
Work with the business enablement team to identify the tools needed to monitor key inputs for tracking supply chain enablers at scale.
Improve cross functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Drive innovation in the connection between Central Planning, Buyer Work Center, and the Material Management Teams within GSC.
Establish clear communication protocols with vendors to prevent misunderstandings or miscommunications.
In a typical day you will...
Liaison between internal stakeholders in a daily huddle series (Central Planning, Buyer Work Center, Material Management) to identify areas where action needs to be taken for supply concerns.
Initiate and monitor a Crisis Supply Incident Response Team when Geopolitical, Natural Disaster, or any other supply interruptions occur around the world.
Produce weekly heat map structure to report on at FAB daily operations meetings (DOM) to AME team for supply updates.
Work closely with the Manufacturing team to investigate required spares, materials, and silicon to support manufacturing requirements which include NPI, phase in & phase out activities.
Monitor and report on variances between forecasted vs actual consumption. Root cause analysis on various causes, while leveraging stakeholders to mitigate shortage/excess issues.
Enable an exception handling process to monitor supply for non-POR situations.
Schedule meetings between Quality, Sourcing, GSM, Central Planning, and Buyer Work Center to ensure a clear message and action plan is enabled for supply concerns.
Work with the relevant teams to ensure annual cost targets are met.
Provide regular updates and communicate project statuses to relevant Sourcing Teams
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, college degree or equivalent education in an economic area with distinctive interest into the technical field or a university degree, college degree or equivalent education in a technical area along with solid business knowledge and skills.
4-5 Years of Material Management Experience preferably handling direct materials in a production environment
Knowledge of foundry business is an advantage.
Excellent writing, editing, oral communications, communications planning, issues, and project management skills.
Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative business relationships with stakeholders.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Ability to perform in an extremely fast paced environment.
Travel - Up to 10%
Fluency in English Language – written & verbal.
Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate and lead through ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications:
High proficiency with spreadsheets and data analysis
Oracle ERP experience in purchasing and inventory modules.
Well-founded Excel expert skills, ideally including macro and VBA programming skills.
Strong knowledge of planning and purchasing systems.
Solid understanding of concepts of inventory flow throughout the supply chain
Strong understanding of concepts of inventory management and distribution planning
Ability to develop and provide reports to satisfy ongoing inquires on inventory and availability.
Good problem solving and reasoning skills to effectively deal with problems varying in complexity.
Good negotiation & interpersonal skills
