Finance Reporting Senior Group Manager – Tier 1 Governance

This role will support Citi’s compliance with the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) and Capital Requirements Directive (CRD), with a focus on the governance structures necessary to ensure ongoing compliance. The team's main responsibility is to ensure that robust governance and control frameworks are established and maintained for these regulations.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) focused on comprehensive compliance with Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) and Capital Requirements Directive (CRD).
  • Manage the delivery of the various workstreams in the Tier 1 programme.
  • Take a leading role in the governance of compliance with these regulations, including leading and presenting at governance meetings with senior stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder engagement across multiple functions for obligation ownership and mapping to controls.
  • Lead the review, gap analysis and design of controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of associated control mappings, identifying defects in those controls and proposing enhancements to improve controls.
  • Present metrics to senior management highlighting key issues and remediation status and maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures.
  • Lead the development of process efficiencies and improvement efforts as well as data quality improvement projects.
  • Work with policy teams to develop policies, guidelines, and processes to address the requirements of CRR, CRD and related technical standards, in particular, as the legislation develops into CRR3 and CRD6.
  • Help to develop training on CRR and CRD with appropriate SMEs.
  • Manage the remediation and escalation of issues.
  • Coordinate responses to the outcomes of compliance reviews by Compliance, Internal Audit and external reviewers.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.

What we’ll need from you:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory capital, liquidity or RRP rules in the EU and/or UK.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory capital best practices and controls, covering Policy, Regulatory Reporting and Regulatory Change.
  • Prior experience leading teams involved in implementing regulatory rules, writing policies and delivering associated training in large financial institutions.
  • Exceptional oral communication and writing skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts, and translate into "user-friendly" language for multiple audiences, including senior management, multiple internal constituents and regulators.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills In English.
