The Logistics Coordinator coordinates the daily supply operations of the warehouse personnel assuring daily work assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner. They look to improve daily processes and leverage our system to create more efficiency in the daily workload. They work closely with other staff to proactively manage inventory levels and use the system analytics to drive decisions. They have a deep understanding of the supply chain process. They are a key contributor to the supply chain teams overall performance.
Experience:
Minimum Required:
• 1-3 years of supply chain related experience, including logistics and warehouse operations.
Preferred:
• 3 or more years of supply chain related experience, including logistics and warehouse operations.
• Supply chain experience in a healthcare environment
Education:
Minimum Required:
• Associate’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Finance or Logistics/Supply Chain Management, 5 years supply chain experience in a healthcare setting or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Finance or Logistics/Supply Chain Management or related field.
Training/Licensure/Certification:
Minimum Required:
• Valid State of Michigan driver’s license with no restrictions
• Hi-Lo driving permit certification
Special Skills
Minimum Required:
• Strong organizational, time management and process management skills to manage timeliness/efficiency of supply chain processes
• Ability to improve process, identify opportunities to automate when appropriate and maximize use of system capabilities
• Working knowledge of supply chain systems and knowledge of computer applications including spreadsheets and word processing
• Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills with ability to see bigger picture
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines and high volumes
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to operate motorized mule

Requirements:
-Associates Degree in Healthcare, Business, Finance, Logistics/Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Bachelors degree preferred
-1-3 years of supply chain experience required
Warehouse Logistics
- Provides day-to-day support of warehouse personnel, including coordination of daily work assignments, receiving, order picking, and delivery processes.
- Assists in daily work assignments for the warehouse, including receiving, picking, and distribution of product.
- Makes suggestions and implements strategies for improved efficiencies throughout the receiving, order picking, and distribution processes.
- Maintains trucks/hilo by scheduling repairs and preventative maintenance appointments.
- Conducts hilo certification tests and keeps record of certifications.
- Assists end users with product related and delivery issues.
- Coordinates with other departments, including HTM and Facilities, Building and Engineering personnel on other delivery and pickup needs.
Inventory Management
- Works closely with other inventory staff to set inventory levels based off ERP analytics and supplier provided information.
- Directs warehouse team on monthly cycle counts and suggests processes for improved accuracy.
- Keeps the warehouse and storeroom organized and properly laid out for ease of processes.
- Meets weekly with inventory team to go over subs and troubled items.
- Develops a thorough understanding of the ERP and its inventory management capabilities.
- Identifies and tracks critical inventory items and suggests proper levels for holding.
- Participates in sub item search when necessary.
- Continually walks warehouse rotating inventory for FIFO.
- Initiates returns with suppliers and provides proper documentation to staff for ERP return process.
- Monitors supply usage patterns, makes recommendations to adjust supply inventory levels, and requisitions inventory supply replenishments when necessary, including researching and recommending the purchase of alternative supply sources.
Supply Chain Support
- Able to cover for inventory buyer when necessary.
- Investigates receiving related issues and works with purchasing and finance to resolve.
- Facilitates discrepancies for inventory items as reported by receiving staff.
- Documents accuracy errors to review with team members for improvement.
- Provides assistance to end users with requisition processes for PAR locations and templates.
- Looks for ways to incorporate AI and other automation to improve receipt, pick, and delivery times.
- Follows up on open orders to ensure timely receipt of product from suppliers.
- Makes adjustments to the ERP as needed.
Other:
- Maintains and monitors key performance statistics, which may include the creation, and submission of periodic reports to Supply Chain personnel.
- Coaches and trains other enterprise inventory control staff and distribution technicians.
- Develop training materials for new warehouse staff.
- Updates and writes standard work procedures for basic warehouse functions.
- Monitors and coordinates disposal of obsolete, scrap, and unused material.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
