What is Prologis Essentials?

Prologis Essentials is the business unit of Prologis that supports logistics companies with turnkey solutions for warehouse setup, move-out, or optimizing ongoing supply chain processes. We are redefining the industrial real estate market by establishing “Warehousing-as-a-Service” in the market.
Prologis Essentials is growing rapidly and already has a significant impact on the industry.

To drive this growth further, we are seeking a dedicated individual to support us in the next steps of our journey. Your tasks will include managing exciting projects such as warehouse system installations, ESG building optimizations, or implementing special requirements like crane installations, sprinkler systems, or dismantling facilities.

Projects range in size from €0.2 million to €10 million, offering you the chance to actively shape the future of the logistics industry.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee the execution and handover of our turnkey projects, including monitoring key performance indicators such as delivery time, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage technical projects, ranging from implementing new product solutions and upgrades to full warehouse setup or return processes.
  • Lead a team of architects, consultants, partners, and contractors to develop and execute tenant improvements and preparatory work.
  • Oversee the preparation of construction and design documents to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
  • Manage approval processes and obtain necessary permits from local authorities, fire safety officers, and building inspectors.
  • Introduce and refine effective project management principles, including continuous improvement, cost reduction, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and other stakeholders to automate information flow, improve communication, and support management in making informed decisions.
  • Assist the sales team by contributing to solution design, supplier selection, and proposal preparation.

Your Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in project, construction, or program management, ideally related to warehousing environments.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, MS Project, or AutoCAD—or the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
  • A customer-focused mindset, dedicated to developing solutions that meet client needs.
  • Excellent time and organizational management skills with a focus on delivering results.
  • Ability to optimize processes and foster a culture of agility and innovation within teams.
  • Attention to detail and multitasking abilities, even in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident communication with internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Willingness to travel (1–2 days per week) to oversee projects on-site.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model: from home and at our Düsseldorf office.
