We are Hiring an Order Management Specialist!

The Order Management Specialist is responsible for monitoring order on hand actuals to target through daily monitoring and management of the order backlog, escalating risks to targets within the organization, and maintains responsibility for follow-through to ensure satisfactory resolution. The Order Management Specialist works with Customer Service, Branch Operations, Production, Demand Planning, Logistics, Sales and Finance teams to ensure objectives are met.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

· Responsible for order integrity and timely communication with internal and external customers to resolve any order date alignment issues.

· Collaborates with Xylem production sites, procurement, logistics and other departments to manage backlog, mitigate issues and coordinate recovery plans as necessary.

· Calculates risk to forecast and escalates issues appropriate and promptly to ensure optimum customer satisfaction.

· Creates and provides metrics on forecast slip results to respective departments and drives related action plans.

· Acts as the primary contact for assigned pool of accounts and provides back up of accounts for other team members in their absence.

· Builds relationships and depth of understanding of customer expectations and ensure timely execution of order fulfillment functions.

· Active lead or participant in LEAN initiatives through completion of quick and easy Kaizen and/or formal continuous improvement programs.

· Effectively sets priorities in order to meet workload deadlines, commitments and all applicable established department goals.

· Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

· Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting or equivalent combination of education and related work experience

· Demonstrated proficiency with computer software to specifically include Microsoft Excel (calculated fields, pivot tables and charts, VLOOKUP, etc.) and Word

· Strong customer service skills; able to demonstrate flexibility in meeting customer needs

· Positive, self-starting, flexible and forward thinking

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently as needed

· Possess excellent verbal, written and the ability to communicate clearly with both internal and external customers

· Ability to think critically, demonstrate creative thinking and meet time sensitive deadlines for customers and resolution of escalated issues

· Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
