Position Title: Arena Receiving & Distribution Clerk (Part-Time)
Reports to: Arena Receiving & Distribution Manager
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Job Summary: The Arena Receiving & Distribution Clerk assists in the effective operation of team, business, and arena activities for incoming and outgoing shipments at Golden 1 Center. This role supports all aspects of distribution and storage operations including inventory management, receiving, purchase order tracking, and facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain thorough working knowledge of all facility locations: spaces, equipment, evacuation procedures, employee/guest areas, and facility access points.
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
- Work independently from general instructions and specifications with minimal supervision.
- Understand and promote company practices and procedures.
- Compare invoices to purchase orders, verify counts, and communicate receipt of goods with the receiving department.
- Inspect incoming shipments using current health and hygiene protocols, reject damaged items, record shortages, and coordinate with shippers to resolve discrepancies.
- Support location delivery/storage and event-time distribution.
- Process all parcel deliveries, log information into the system, and route items to appropriate departments.
- Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Manage disposal process for sensitive documents and building-wide shredding needs.
- Fulfill requests for in-stock paper items and other materials.
- Operate tier lift truck or hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from the shipping/receiving platform to storage or work areas.
- Perform various other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; OR High School diploma/equivalent with minimum 2 years of warehouse/inventory management experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple functions and strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and commitment to team results
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook); training provided for industry-specific software
- Ability to understand and interpret logistics documents (e.g., scale tickets, product labels, weight tickets)
- Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred
- Strong task and detail orientation with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the team, NBA, and outside organizations
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- A valid California Driver's License required
- Forklift certification preferred
Compensation/Schedule:
- $18/hour
- Part-time position, up to 29 hours per week
