Role Definition

  • Assist in research, coordinate, plan and comply with state regulatory requirements in the U.S. for the Caterpillar Insurance Company and insurance affiliates related to rates, forms, other filings, and producer licensing.


Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks related to insurance filing and producer licensing and insurance regulation documentation.
  • Coordinate communications related to compliance issues and regulatory changes related to producer licensing and filings.
  • Assist in the review, research, and interpret new statutes, regulations, and bulletins from various insurance regulatory agencies.
  • Recommend new processes and changes to current procedures.

Consideration for Top Candidates

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in the insurance industry related to rates, forms, other filings, and producer licensing.
  • Knowledge of and the demonstrated ability to perform multi-state regulatory filings.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and understand licensing requirements based on current State licensing regulations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of insurance laws, regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to use software packages associated with insurance, i.e. regulatory reporting systems, insurance licensing administration systems.
  • A 4-year college or university degree or minimum of 4 years exempt experience in an underwriting compliance or similar position responsible for insurance industry producer licensing or state filings.
