The Role

Proofpoint is looking for a Manager of a Business Development team.  This person will manage and grow a team of Business Development Representatives responsible for driving qualifying opportunities that build pipeline for the Commercial sales organization.  This individual will be a coach who has a deep understanding of how to overcome common obstacles and has a passion to teach others how to become a top performer.

Your day-to-day

  • Lead BDR team responsible for outbound prospecting and setting qualified opportunities
  • Lead weekly meeting reviews with BDR team as well as 1:1’s
  • Measure and continually find ways to improve process and performance-Challenge status quo
  • Communicate with sales leadership to ensure the BDR team is meeting pipeline expectations
  • Build out predictable reporting/forecasting for the BDR team performance
  • Work with marketing to create and implement programs
  • Coach team in use of Salesforce, Outreach.io, DiscoverOrg
  • Maintains a culture of accountability, hard work, and innovation for themselves and their team

What you bring to the team

  • 3+ Years of experience leading high-performing sales development team
  • 2+ years of experience selling enterprise SaaS
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and Outreach.io
