What success looks like in this role:

Success in this role means leading complex application development on USAS under OS2200 platform using COBOL and FORTRAN, with a strong focus on design, delivery, and production support. You ensure code quality, manage releases, and collaborate with peers across the other countries while driving effective solution development towards project success and organizational growth.

• Plays a lead role in broad-based application / project development.
• Performs detailed design of complex applications and architecture components.
• Designs requirements to comply with project standards and deliver outcomes on time and according to specifications.
• Reviews design, coding and unit testing – manages code reviews and ensures code compliance with project standards.
• Leverages development and deployment expertise to ensure overall project efforts are properly resources, focused and managed.
• Provides input on technical interdependencies and prioritization requirements.
• Coordinates technical release activities with applications and other development staff.
• Provides mentorship and guidance to junior team members – ensuring they understand requirements and anticipated outcomes.
• May lead significant project efforts comprising Unisys, contract and other team members.
• Assist in developing upskilling plan for junior team members.
• Assists in driving organizational activities / initiatives.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Develop and unit test the TDATE$ remediation changes in USAS (Unisys Standard Airline System)
• Implement standard USAS changes in the TravelSky USAS system to support the transition from TDATE$ date/time stamps to the new MODSWTIME$ format. 
• Provide inputs to TravelSKy for the test integration test plan, system test plan.
• Resolve the defects raised by TravelSky from the System and Integration testing process.

• Support TravelSky in their system testing and acceptance testing of above changes. 

• Provide support for production system cutover of these developments. 

• Provide ongoing maintenance support to the onsite technical staff after the developments are deployed to production. 

• Performs detailed design of complex applications and architecture components. 

• Reviews design, coding and unit testing – manages code reviews and ensures code compliance with project standards. 

• Provides input on technical interdependence and prioritization requirements. 

• Assists in driving organizational activities / initiatives. 

Key Qualifications 

BE/BTech/BS with 20+ years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
