Job Description :

JOB SUMMARY
The young and dynamic Operational Cost Management team is involved in month-end activities, as well as the ongoing monitoring of OPEX (operating expenses) alongside management. The team is also responsible for preparing the annual budget, quarterly reviews, and various process improvement projects. The selected intern will be an integral part of the team and will have the opportunity to support several analysts across a variety of tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the executive team in achieving Cogeco Connexion’s business plan and objectives.
• Coordinate and support the monthly accrual process at the consolidated level.
• Assist in the quarterly and year-end preparation of files for internal and external audits.
• Support the OPEX team with monthly analyses.
• Support the Senior Analyst responsible for the billing system with various ad hoc analyses.
• Participate in process improvement projects.
• Participate in special projects and various one-off analyses.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
 

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• No specific experience required.

SPECIAL SKILLS

• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrates rigor and possesses strong organizational skills.
• Excellent proficiency in both French and English (oral and written).
• Advanced mastery of Excel.
• Knowledge of an accounting system (considered an asset).
