Role & Department

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Product Owner to join our Commercial and Enabling Functions IT & Digital team, focusing on CRM and Field Systems.

On the journey to build digital commercial capabilities Genmab IT&D has adopted a highly customer centric, product oriented operating model in building and evolving digital capabilities and has invested in cutting edge technology platforms to speed up go to market for external and internal facing digital products, and in this journey Genmab welcomes passionate product leaders to join the global commercialization team to build and manage top notch digital experience for Genmab patients and customers.

As Product Owner you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our CRM related systems, applications, and tools supporting essential field team execution. 

This is a role with empowered decision making and potential to explore innovation across the Commercial systems and use. 

As a Product Owner in our Commercial and Enabling Functions IT & Digital team, you will have a key role in enhancing our Field facing technology capabilities. You will work with your Product Team members and other IT&D colleagues as well as our colleagues in the business, transforming product vision, business requirements, and user needs into a well-organized backlog and practical user stories.  Execution is based on an agreed roadmap, and you will ensure that each release is following our Computerized System Life Cycle procedures and are compliant with the regulations in the respective markets. 

This is a leadership role and will have to provide a strong leadership to the digital product delivery teams to help deliver on time and on budget without compromising on quality.  The success for this role will depend on the ability to be very detail oriented, keeping a constant check on quality of delivery by the product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall Product Vision and metrics (e.g., Objectives & Key results (OKRs) fulfillment of the applications being delivered.
  • Develop and maintain a clear product vision, strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals and stakeholder needs
  • Prioritize and maintain product back-log features and enhancements based on user feedback, business goals, and technical constraints
  • Function as the primary point of contact for IT & Digital to the Customer Experience & Insights business owner.
  • Facilitate the agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective, and provide feedback and coaching to the team
  • Collaborate with users, your Product Team and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful implementation of system enhancements
  • Track and report on product performance, addressing any issues affecting quality or user satisfaction, and optimize processes for improved efficiency
  • Manage budget planning and allocate resources for both product roadmap and ongoing operational support
  • Identify improvements to existing operational processes and procedures

Requirements: 

  • A degree in life sciences, bioinformatics or computer science
  • Experience in the Commercial and Medical Field Operations area
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with abilities to translate complex business problems and requirements into digital product goals.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT and software development in the Life Science, Pharma or BioTech industry required
  • 5+ years of experience working as a digital product owner or digital product manager
  • 3+ years of experience leading CRM solutions delivery, on Veeva CRM and salesforce.com
  • Has experience of product centric IT delivery model and product management skills
  • Has hands on experience developing Commercialization digital products like CRM, Salesforce and\or SaaS (Software As a Service) applications.
  • Has clear understanding of digital DevOps, CICD pipeline, DevSecOps, and Digital best practices
  • Equally capable of speaking technology and business language
  • Great team player with strong leadership qualities and sharp negotiation skills 
  • Solid knowledge of the agile methodologies, the Scrum framework, and the agile tools, such as Jira and Confluence
  • Certified Product Owner certification and project management experience are preferred

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$114,375.00---$190,625.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
