Position Title SAP Source-to-Pay (S2P) Functional Consultant

Workstream Reporting & Analytics (R&A)
Reports To Procurement Analytics Squad Lead
Role Purpose
Embed robust Source-to-Pay process knowledge into the R&A delivery squad. You will turn procurement R&A requirements into SAP functional designs, write reporting-ready functional specifications, develop test scripts, and partner with data engineers and analytics developers to ensure clean, trusted data flows from S/4HANA (including Ariba and Fieldglass integration) to BW/4HANA, Datasphere, Azure Data Hub, and Power BI/SAC.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Fit/Gap
o Partner with Functional Squad and Functional experts, and R&A Squad to assess PR-to-IV reporting needs and map them to standard S/4HANA S2P / Ariba / Fieldglass APIs and CDS views.
Functional Design for Analytics
o Provide deep functional expertise across Operational Procurement, Sourcing, Contracts, PR, PO, Invoicing (MM-IV), and Service Procurement.
o Draft and own functional specs for Source Tables, Fiori Analytical List Pages, APIs, CDS views and Datasphere models.
Data Extraction & Logic
o Define extraction and transformation rules for core S/4 tables/views, Ariba APIs, Fieldglass APIs payloads).
Test Preparation & Support
o Build end-to-end test scripts covering data, process and analytics layer support test execution and defect triage for the reporting team.
Conversion & Data Quality
o Anticipate the data involved in mock conversions to be used for ingestion into the testing reporting environment, to perform reconcile SAP S4/MDG/Ariba/Fieldglass data include but not limited to open commitments, vendor master, purchase order history in the source systems and in the target reports.
Governance & Standards
o Champion Fit-to-Standard design, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture, data-quality KPIs and R&A governance gates.
Required Skills & Experience
Hands-on SAP S/4HANA procurement S2P (RFx, Contract, PR, PO, GR, IV) with at least one greenfield or brownfield S/4HANA deployment that included analytics deliverables.
Demonstrable experience delivering reporting solutions with Embedded Analytics (CDS, API Modeler, ALP) and at least one of BW/4HANA, Datasphere or SAC, Power BI.
Working knowledge of Ariba and Fieldglass integration (CI-DS, CIG or API-based) and downstream reporting implications.
Proven ability to write clear functional specs, design test cases, and collaborate with data engineers and BI developers.
Excellent stakeholder-management and documentation skills able to translate technical detail into business language.
Desirable Qualifications
SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement, Ariba, Fieldglass or Datasphere certification.
Experience in Azure Data Lake, Power BI semantic modeling, or Power Automate workflow for approvals (Optional).
Exposure to energy, utilities or heavy-industry procurement processes (Optional).

1. Fit/Gap assessment reports for S/4HANA standard analytics vs custom needs.
2. Functional specifications for procurement analytics (CDS, Fiori ALP, BW objects).
3. End-to-end test scripts and executed test evidence for RFx Contract PR PO GR IV analytic flows.
4. Data-reconciliation reports and signoffs for conversion cycles.
5. Hyper-care support plan and issue log for go-live.
