As part of a diverse and hardworking team of quality engineers, you will develop and implement commercial quality processes for the design, test and manufacture of engines. Our team is responsible for implementing quality initiatives that will support development and low rate engine production. This position requires a passion for solving sophisticated problems and providing operable solutions; act with minimal direction and take ownership; and be adaptable as we work on a variety of applications and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, implement, maintain, and carry out quality system processes that support products in development and production environments

  • Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals

  • Integrate quality system applications between engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure the consistent and ongoing use of quality best practices and communication of quality issues

  • Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records.

  • Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100

  • Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve the quality and manufacturability of new designs

  • Recommend initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality

  • Provide quality assurance domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing and test for the Additive Manufacturing team

  • Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality related concerns

  • Develop and present training materials to build quality awareness

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a B.S. in engineering/science or American Society of Quality, Certified Quality Engineer certification

  • 6-8 years’ proven experience in the engineering field with at least 4 years in a quality engineer role

  • Quality Assurance experience in production environment. Aerospace, space launch, or military or commercial aviation preferred

  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • Quality Assurance experience in rocket engine production environment

  • Proven experience transitioning product from development, through production to operations

  • Quality Management System audit experience

  • Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities

  • Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification


 

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $103,230.00-$144,522.00

Other site ranges may differ
