You will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Lifecycle Sustainment and Modernization Solutions (LSMS) under our SEIT & Cyber Engineering as a Staff Systems Engineer. The Position will support a group of qualified and diverse individuals in Oklahoma City, OK. SEIT & Cyber Engineering provides sustainment support for the B-2 Bomber, E-3 Sentry, Airborne Warning and Control System, and numerous other Government platforms. Our team members complete engineering, reverse engineering, and logistics solution efforts to solve complex obsolescence problems and ensure warfighter supportability.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the technical baseline for the system segment throughout the systems engineering lifecycle
- Ensures the technical quality and compliance of all products submitted for program efforts within cost and schedule constraints
- Enforces technical and program standards for all teamwork products and advocates for approaches in service of program objectives
- Serves as technical spokesman for the organization between other internal partners and external customers to ensure confidence in system solutions
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 12 years of experience; 10 years with a Masters; 8 years with a PhD
- Experience working with Airworthiness Related Reportable modifications
- Experience interacting with Government Customers and identifying needs
- Experience and knowledge of drawing standards and technical drawing reviews
- Experience in avionics laboratory environments to perform tests, data analysis, and problem resolution.
- Knowledge of product development life cycle and interactions among engineering disciplines
- Experience with Supplier Oversight and Management
- Experience with identifying and resolving technical risks
- Experience with planning and execution of Systems Engineering Reviews
- Experience with circuit design and simulation tools
- Proficient ability to use Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance & specific program access.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Systems Engineering experience in a hardware environment
- Flight Control System experience
- B-2 Avionics and Laboratory Experience
- Ground and Flight Test Planning
- MIL-STD-1553B Data Analysis
- Current Active DoD Secret security clearance
- Experience in DOORS and/or Cameo, utilizing a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach
- A background in an Agile development environment
Salary Range: $135,000.00 - $202,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
