Directs the safe and cost effective operation of Gordon Food Service (GFS) warehouse building maintenance including equipment troubleshooting and repair, preventative and predictive maintenance, warehouse cleaning and recycling, payroll, reviews, employee accountability, refrigeration, regulatory compliance and production team support

Essential Functions:
Collaborates with leadership and other department heads to plan preventive maintenance programs and to schedule inspections and major overhauls in coordination with other operating activities.
Reviews technical papers, catalogs, and other reference materials and confers with equipment sales representatives to select and recommend new supplies and maintenance methods to improve warehouse operations.
Confers with contractors to resolve problems.
Reviews inspection and repair reports and observes progress of work on major overhauls to evaluate efficiency and work quality.
Involvement with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Global Food Safety Inspection (GFSI)
Assists Director of Warehouse with capital plans and AOP budget
Maintains positive vendor relations.
Monitors Maximo for the scheduling and completion of work orders.
Works with Corporate Support Teams North American Maintenance and Indirect Procurement Team
Maintains accurate parts inventory and ensures parts are billed out correctly.
Oversees and directs all aspects of warehouse cleaning and housekeeping.
Monitors and directs the repair of machinery and electrical or plumbing systems.
Prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.
Monitors warehouse safety according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Written, verbal, organizational and communication skills as well as problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to prepare and deliver presentations and speak at minor functions as a departmental representative.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
Mathematical knowledge to calculate figures and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.
Mechanical aptitude
Must have a basic understanding of OSHA, EPA, EEOC and other related regulatory agencies and laws
Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
