JOB PURPOSE:

  • In charge of one or more business units of the company. Overall responsibility of the PL. Acts like a CFO to the Business Unit, and a finance business partner to the Finance Director as well as the General Manager in regard to the Business Unit
  • Manage monthly performance against targets
  • Execute accurate and timely provision of management and financial information of the Business Unit in line with local and international requirements to enable management to make effective and sound business decisions within volatile environments
  • Add value to overall ways of working around the organization via a successful partnership with the Business, as well as support the Finance Director in the management of the relations with the Leadership Team, and above country management
  • Follow the market conditions and investigate alternatives to investment plans to drive profitable growth, as well as optimize the brands in the Business Unit, both for topline delivery and profitability

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Manage the financial performance of the overall Business Unit by providing timely financial analysis and counsel to the Business Unit Director
  • Support the preparation of the forecasts, plan, and align the business in the delivery of the annual Plan.  Execute the monthly commercial forecasts process and value generation thereafter, as well as annual budgets for the local leadership team and above-country area management team reviews
  • Responsible for highlighting monthly and latest estimate performance variances and recommending remedial actions to improve cost efficiencies, return on investment, and achieve business goals for the Business Unit and corresponding brands
  • Aware of the overall GSK priorities, manage the execution of all activities in support of the Business Unit
  • Ensure that monthly financials are prepared by the GSK Financial Policies
  • Support the execution of the establishment and implementation of systems and procedures to ensure GSK’s budgeting and reporting requirements are met in an accurate, compliant and timely manner
  • Comply with the efficient and effective budget control mechanisms in place
  • Conduct launch scenario analyses for the new product pipeline, and assess their impact on financial targets and long term profitability
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis for pricing changes and their impact on financial targets
  • Support Business Development initiatives
  • Value generation of the monthly Core Commercial Cycle volume submissions, measuring the current month 42-month forecast against the financial Plan

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A university degree specialized in management or economics, MBA is an asset
  • 7+ years of experience in a relevant position preferably within a multinational environment
  • Native fluency in English is an asset (minimum requirement is Professional Fluency)
  • Experience in financial consulting and Audit (Big Four) is an asset
  • Advanced communication skills and an advanced command of English
  • Deep knowledge of both local regulations & IFRS and use of Microsoft Office
  • Managerial skills including organization, planning, and execution and one Finance Mindset
  • Native fluency in Korean (Mandatory)
