We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team in the banking domain in our Tampa, Florida Hybrid (2 days in the office) work location. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring technologies, and SQL / NoSQL databases. Familiarity with React.js, Python, and AI/LLM technologies is a plus.

As a software developer, you will revolutionize how Citi manages financial documents by modernizing our tech stack and implementing cutting-edge LLM technologies. You'll develop and deliver solutions that redefine efficiency and intelligence in document processing on a global scale. Roles and Responsibilities:
 
1. Application Development:
   - Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
   - Implement solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases.
 
2. Collaboration:
   - Work closely with the Tech Lead, architects, and other team members to deliver high-quality solutions.
   - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical implementations.
 
3. Code Quality and Best Practices:
   - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
   - Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and quality.
 
4. Troubleshooting and Optimization:
   - Debug and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
   - Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
 
5. Nice-to-Have Skills:  
   - Work on front-end development using React.js for building user interfaces.  
   - Develop scripts or tools using Python for automation or data processing.
   - Explore and integrate AI/LLM technologies into applications to enhance functionality.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Java development with expertise in Spring Boot and related technologies.  
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.  
• Familiarity with React.js, Python, and AI/LLM technologies is a plus.  
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.  

Additional Preferred experience, but not required::
- Previous experience in the banking or financial services domain.  
- Exposure to distributed systems and microservices architecture.  
- Knowledge of security best practices in application development. 

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field preferred or equivalent experience
