Position Summary...
Walmart is seeking a Director, Governance Regulatory Review, to join the Enterprise & Regulatory Risk Management team. This role is a key leader on the Risk Management team, leading the company’s regulatory risk assessment program and working with stakeholders across the enterprise to identify regulatory risks, including related risk drivers and root causes, and to develop mitigation strategies to address those risks.
What you'll do...
The Enterprise & Regulatory Risk Management team partners with Global Governance, the business, and other functional support teams to identify, assess, and help to mitigate risk across the company. In this role, you will lead the company’s regulatory risk assessment program in collaboration with other assurance partners.
The Director, Governance Regulatory Review is a valued member of the Enterprise & Regulatory Risk Management leadership team and will be a key part of the team’s continued development of a comprehensive risk management program. In this role, you will collaborate with other members of the Enterprise & Regulatory Risk Management team, colleagues across the enterprise, and senior leaders to identify emerging or changing regulatory risks, regulatory risk drivers of strategic and operational risks, draw connections across teams and risks to develop a holistic risk profile, and help to drive forward risk-based discussions around strategy, program maturation, mitigation plans, and strategic growth.

Collaborate with assurance partners on the enterprise risk assessment calendar to ensure that all assurance activity occurs in a streamlined, prioritized, and efficient fashion

Develop digestible, comprehensive risk assessment reports for an executive audience

Conduct data analysis to help determine possible risk indicators, risk drivers, root causes, and opportunities for comprehensive mitigation strategies

Forge strong partnerships with stakeholders across the enterprise, including Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, and Business partners

Experience communicating with and presenting to senior executives and colleagues across a variety of functional and business areas. You communicate complex or sensitive issues in a clear, collegial, and effective manner.

Understanding of the fundamentals of compliance programs in a large enterprise.

Prior Internal Audit, Forensic Accounting, Regulatory, Investigative, or Risk Assessment experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and can clearly synthesize and explain complex processes and findings.

You embrace innovation and have experience leveraging emerging technologies, including AI, to refine processes and outputs.

Experience leading cross-functional workstreams and the ability to manage large projects and multiple priorities.

A deep understanding of metrics and data and the ability to present that information in a digestible format to senior executive leaders.
The selected hire will work from our beautiful new home office in Bentonville, AR.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 5 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 3 years’ supervisory experience. 4 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
