Function background:

The Institutional Credit Management (ICM) team is a critical component of Citi’s First Line of Defense for wholesale lending and counterparty credit risk.  It partners with businesses Citi-wide to ensure we have best-in-class risk and control capabilities.  ICM also plays an important role in Citi’s Transformation efforts by helping to drive a Citi-wide focus on wholesale credit risk and processing risk management. Through ongoing investment in processes, controls, systems, and governance, ICM continues to further embed consistency and best practices across Citi, driving closer alignment between our business and regulatory goals.  The Lending Transformation Program (LTP) is a key enterprise-wide initiative within ICM.  The goal is to transform the end-to-end wholesale lending process which will consolidate key remediation efforts for Citi’s lending products and establish a consistent target operating model with a focus on improved processes, controls, and enhanced technology that will achieve best-in-class processing capabilities to support our client franchise.

ICM is looking for a Program Manager Principal to drive transformation across the ICM Transaction Management (TM) function.   This individual should have strong wholesale lending experience, including an understanding of regulatory and audit standards and expectations.    

Key Responsibilities:

  • Head of TM Transformation for North America (NAM), and senior member of the global TM Transformation Team
  • Deputies for the Head of TM Transformation, representing the team at various leadership forums.
  • Oversee and priorities the global TM Transformation book of work.
  • Provide leadership over project management execution, proactively addressing blockers and driving timely delivery.
  • Deliver strategic planning partnering with stakeholders, ensuring appropriate syndication and approvals.
  • Execute program / project implementation, particularly with emerging regulatory imperatives.
  • Provide program / project status updates and reporting across the broader book of work.
  • Partner with stakeholders to design and implement front-to-back robust and sustainable control frameworks.
  • Evaluate regulatory requirements and maximize execution quality to adequately meet management and regulatory / Internal Audit (IA) expectations.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 12 years+ of experience in Wholesale Lending, Transformation, Risk & Control and/or Audit
  • Significant regulatory exposure, including regulatory reporting e.g. Shared National Credits (SNC), FRY14, 2052a etc.
  • Delivered large scale transformation programs involving people, process and technology.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to distil complex ideas into clear and simple components.
  • Executive presence and gravitas with senior stakeholders and ability to gain consensus across functions and geographies.
  • Proactive, 'no surprises', approach in communicating issues/requests.
  • Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; Must be articulate and persuasive.
  • Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
