Our internship program is designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, as well as individuals seeking to deepen their education through immersive, professional experience in the entertainment industry. 

Department Description:

The Latin America Divisional Finance Department provides administrative, financial, and commercial support for the Sony Pictures Television Latin America division. The team works across all lines of business including Advertising Sales, TV Distribution, Affiliates, and Theatrical. Our team supports digital initiatives including revenues earned on YouTube, Social Media platforms, and FAST channels. The team is primarily responsible for billing and collections including revenue recognition, cash flow optimization, and financial analysis and reporting for LATAM.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the Yay Pay A/R software integration including tasks such as updating advertiser and agency profiles, workflows, and assisting with User Acceptance Testing.
  • Work on clearing of unapplied cash accounts in SAP & Yay Pay.
  • Assist with the preparation of Settlement statements to process payments owed to third party networks for regional collections.
  • Prepare Agency incentive and Bad Debt reconciliations to ensure accruals are properly updated on a quarterly basis.
  • Assist with the monthly close process by parking journal entries related to cash, balance sheet, and receivables balances.

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree with Business/Finance focus preferred

  • SAP knowledge a plus • Fluency in Spanish and English, oral and written preferred

  • Ability to perform tasks with reasonable independence
