Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team and to oversee our manufacturing inventory accounting functions. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, inventory management, and cost control. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting principles, and inventory valuation methods.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and audit physical inventory counts, including cycle counts.
Reconcile inventory records to the general ledger and ensure accuracy.
Calculate and record inventory adjustments, including write-offs and obsolescence.
Analyze inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for inventory and manufacturing costs.
Manage assigned month-end and year-end close tasks, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather and analyze financial data for reporting purposes.
Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes and reduce costs.
Implement new systems and technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control procedures.
Prepare supporting schedules, footnotes, and documentation for external financial audits and reviews.
Work with and support the accounting team in day-to-day activities, special projects, and workflow process improvements.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members, fostering their professional development.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on manufacturing inventory.
Working knowledge of GAAP.
Proficiency in accounting software and other systems: Epicor and Blackline a plus but not required..
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including project management skills.
High level of integrity and commitment to upholding ethical standards.
Adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a dynamic organization.
