Job Description:

The Role

This Vice President role is a critical leadership position responsible for shaping and advancing Asset Management’s (AM) data strategy and data operating model in alignment with Fidelity’s broader enterprise vision. You will lead a high-performing team and partner closely with senior business leaders and technology stakeholders to drive data governance, data quality, strategic prioritization, and the analysis and implementation of shared data enhancements. Working across AM and key Fidelity business groups, you will play a central role in evolving the AM data operating model to enable scale, reduce risk, and ensure AI readiness. Success in this role requires a transformational leader who brings strong business acumen, deep technical understanding, and the ability to inspire and lead change at scale.

  • Skilled in partner engagement, executive reporting, and governance.

  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of the Asset Management business and its interdependencies across all organizational functions.

Technical Leadership

  • Experience building or running data governance programs or data operations within a large, distributed organization.

  • Strong grasp of industry trends in AI, unstructured data management, and organizational knowledge cataloging.

  • Experience and knowledge of financial services market data vendors.

The Value You Deliver

  • Work with senior leaders across the organization to refine the AM data operating model to deliver practical governance, improved quality, and AI readiness in our data environment.

  • Drive the implementation of data governance and maintain expertise in data governance best practices.

  • Develop, manage, and evolve frameworks to ensure Fidelity’s data is high quality and managed within a sound controls environment to support highly sensitive operational and investment processes.

  • Collaborate with AM Technology, FFIO, and other Fidelity business partners to implement innovative and creative data solutions.

  • Work across AM to prioritize, design, and implement common data solutions.

  • Detect and manage changes in the business that may impact the data operating model or strategy.

  • Monitor industry trends and directions and assess possible impacts on internal strategies.

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$264,000 per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
