Summary: Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements using SAP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Finite Scheduling

  • Plans and prepares monthly, weekly and daily manufacturing schedules. Creates master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts and/or customer orders.
  • Analyzes capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine human resource requirements.
  • Adjust schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Uses inventory management software (Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Prepares production reports and updates tracking spreadsheets.

Document Control

  • Consults with manufacturing management and support team personnel to identify edits and improvements to current Standard Operating Procedures, Records, Bill of Materials and Training Manuals
  • Revises and approves Standard Operating Procedures, Records, Bill of Materials and Training Manuals

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years' experience with SAP or Microsoft Dynamics, materials tracking, production planning.
  • 1+ years' experience with entering PO's / PR's for production.
  • Coordinates production schedules to ensure materials are provided according to plans.
  • Incumbents in this job level category may provide work directions to other employees but would not typically have the authority to discipline or reward other employees.
  • There are different levels available that provide clarity on contribution expectations based on knowledge, application, problem solving, and collaboration.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Degree in business administration or equivalent experience preferred. 
  • Two or more years working in a manufacturing environment required. 
  • Background and knowledge of basic quality systems requirements preferred.
