Summary:

The Client Service Associate serves as a primary point of contact for high-net-worth clients, delivering high-touch service experience while partnering closely with Portfolio Managers, custodians, and internal operations. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless execution of client requests, maintaining account integrity, and supporting the overall client relationship.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for clients, delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality service across all inquiries and requests
  • Coordinate account lifecycle activities including new account onboarding, transfers, maintenance, and account closures
  • Monitor client portfolios for cash activity, asset allocation, and investment positioning; proactively identify and escalate issues
  • Oversee cash management needs, including funding requests, distributions, and liquidity planning
  • Investigate and resolve performance-related or operational discrepancies in partnership with internal teams and custodians
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring all documentation and client files meet compliance standards
  • Generate and review recurring and ad hoc reports to support client communication and internal decision-making
  • Prepare materials for client meetings, including performance reporting and portfolio summaries; track and follow up on action items

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in wealth management, asset management, or financial services, preferably with direct client exposure
  • Progress toward CFA, CFP, or similar designation is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and follow-through skills
  • Professional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to client confidentiality
  • Experience with wealth management platforms (e.g., Black Diamond, MoneyGuidePro, Schwab Institutional) preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with reporting tools

 

This role is based in our Boston office on a hybrid schedule - 4 days per week in-office, 1 day per week remote. 

 

The actual base salary is dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, GW&K employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus and/or commission, which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.

Base Salary Range

$70,000-$80,000 USD
