About the Team

Join the newly formed Workday Financials Global Extensions team — a highly skilled group dedicated to growing the business reach by delivering ground breaking SaaS solutions for global businesses. Using a mix of flexible Workday framework with modern tools and methodologies, we ensure unparalleled agility, usability, performance, and integration capabilities.

About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer, you will build new solutions for challenges in integration and expansion of the Financial products, applying your expertise in design, coding, system performance and scalability. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Architecting, designing, programming, debugging, and improving software features.
  • Research and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills to transform concepts into practical solutions, prioritizing user experience.
  • Resolving intricate issues related to application performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Developing advanced applications using industry-standard object-oriented tools and metadata-driven language.
  • Analyzing application performance using diverse programming languages, tools, and techniques.
  • Writing robust, efficient, and maintainable code within an object-oriented framework.
  • Creating reliable unit, integration, and system-level tests integrated into our continuous delivery pipeline.
  • Continuous learning and collaboration with cross partner teams to resolve ambiguity.
  • Mentoring team members and fostering a culture of learning through collaborative practices like pairing, code reviews, and Hackathons.

About You

Software Development Engineer

  • 5+ years experience with Web application development or SaaS (Software as a Service); UML is a plus.
  • 3+ years Object-oriented design and development experience in an OO language (such as Java, Python, C#, C++, XO, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience with design and development of REST API

Sr Associate Software Development Engineer

  • 2+ years experience with Web application development or SaaS (Software as a Service); UML is a plus.
  • 2+ years Object-oriented design and development experience in an OO language (such as Java, Python, C#, C++, XO, etc.)
  • 1+ years of experience with design and development of REST API

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience in building large scale enterprise business applications (in the area of Financials is preferred)
  • Experience working on integration API solution is a huge plus
  • Experience working on analyzing and debugging Performance logs is a plus
  • Metadata-driven definitional development experience.
  • Experience with XML and integration technologies and agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or similar relevant degree
