Our Distribution Centers utilize state-of-the-art technology and a dedicated team to provide Columbia Sportswear Company a competitive advantage in distribution. Teams are responsible for shipping millions of units of apparel, footwear, and equipment annually within the family of brands. Accurate order fulfillment and on-time shipments are the hallmarks of our facility.

As a Receiving Specialist, you will contribute to the distribution of products from Columbia Sportswear Company’s Distribution Center by verifying information on all goods received at the distribution center into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Maintain positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization. 

  • Bridge ASNs from the host system and confirm data from packing listsVerify and bridge ASNs to host system when receiving is complete and variances resolved.

  • Knowledge of WM, SAP, and Ariba applications required. 

  • Train members of other Distribution Center in procedures for creating receipts.   

  • Provide other departments in the Distribution Center with information related to incoming and received freight.  Maintain/update container logs for drayage on a daily basis.

  • Maintain accuracy of Base Data using distribution center computer system. 

  • Ability to cope with a stressful work environment and cordially interact with coworkers to accomplish common tasks. 

  • Gloves are required PPE for all production jobs in the Distribution Center. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned

YOU ARE

  • Experience working in an industrial setting is preferred.
  • A self-driven and self-starter who takes initiative and has a proven ability to deliver consistent results.
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours including overtime as the business needs dictate including swing, night, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to access all areas and levels of the distribution center.

YOU HAVE

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Requires 5+ years of experience in position or specialization.  
  • Possess excellent computer skills with thorough knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing applications.  
  • Ability to do basic math.   
  • Possess good problem-solving skills and ability to adjust workload to changes in volume at the DC.  
  • Must possess good organizational and interpersonal skills.   
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.   
  • Attention to detail and ability to count accurately required.   
  • Physical ability to use computer hardware/software, 10-key, telephone, sit for extended periods of time, stand for long periods of time on concrete, and occasionally lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
